Bettina Obrecht is a German author of fiction, radio features and radio plays and poetry, and also a translator. Her books have been translated into several languages. She lives near Frankfurt am Main, Germany, but travelling and learning languages has always been an important part of her life. Working with her husband, the sound artist, musician and photographer Werner Cee, she has produced numerous radio programmes on world music, soundscapes and other topics. The couple regularly travel to Sicily and are overwhelmed by the richness of the ancient, as well as contemporary, culture.
